What to expect

Sedation consultation

For your sedation consultation, our anesthesiologist will review you or your loved ones medical history. He will ask questions the patient’s overall well-being, medications, allergies and any pertinent medical conditions. This is when the patient will be evaluated for candidacy for outpatient sedation services.


Instructions

After determining the patient is a candidate for outpatient sedation services, instructions will be given, verbally and electronically, regarding the most important instructions. It is very important to follow all instructions as this is vital to safety of the procedure.

Consent

After answering all of the patient’s, or their loved one’s, questions, our anesthesiologist will go over the risks and benefits of having sedation. The consent form will be delivered electronically and must be signed in order to confirm your appointment. Consent may be given in paper form (upon request).
